Change perspective – experience diversity in the company
We playfully change the perspective at SOIREE|HEC: How does it feel to experience everyday corporate life as a different, less represented person? What do I not perceive in the workplace that others have to deal with on a daily basis? In small groups, participants can try out “cHECk your Privilege.” In our diversity simulation, they take on new roles, for example as a person of a different gender or with a different cultural background.
The simulation game was developed by the Diversity AG of the HEC and as part of a master’s thesis at the University of Bremen. By playing the game, participants get a sense of their own Unconscious Bias, the unconscious biases we all have in our work lives.
With this initiative, HEC aims to raise awareness of diversity in its own, as well as in other companies. The game is the HEC’s contribution to the Diversity Challenge 2023 of the Diversity Charter.
Following the 90-minute diversity workshop, there will be time as usual at SOIREE|HEC to network and exchange ideas. Come and bring your curiosity!
Procedure
- from 17.30 h: Admission – arrive and be excited
- 18.00: Welcome and Diversity-Planspiel in small groups
- 19.15 h: Exchange and socialize over drinks and small dishes
- approx. 21.00 h: End
