The 66th Session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women
The 66th session of the
UN Commission on the Status of Women
(FRC) will be held in New York from March 14-25, 2022. Due to the ongoing Corona pandemic, official government events will be hybrid (and partially broadcast on UN Web TV), with few local participants. All side and parallel events will take place digitally.
There is no formal registration for virtual participation this year, but ECOSOC-accredited organizations can get on a distribution list, which we advise all FRC interested parties to do. UN Women Germany provides their places, you can register at Indico register (via “German Committee for UN Women e.V.”). Please note the separate registration for the NGO CSW66 Forum (see below).
Focus area: gender equality and empowerment of all women and girls in the context of climate change, and development of policy programs for environmental and disaster risk reduction.
Review topic: Economic empowerment of women in a changing world of work. (agreed Conclusions of the 61st meeting)

Virtual NGO CSW66 Forum
There will be numerous exciting Parallel Events during the civic NGO CSW66 Forum, which will take place in parallel with CSW66. Everybody can here for participation in the forum.
All NGOs that applied to host a Parallel Event will be notified by NGO CSW by January 15.
