JOAN BAEZ I AM A NOISE
In this biography, which begins with her farewell tour, the American folk musician and activist Joan Baez takes stock, confronts herself with often painful memories and opens up about her history of mental illness, her family, drugs, ageing and questions of guilt and forgiveness. For the first time, she talks about her relationship with Bob Dylan, how she used her fame to promote his career and the pain of her later estrangement. The film interweaves diary entries and Baez’s own illustrations with detailed conversations and backstage moments from the tour.
