Inspiration & Talk | Women building city: the City through a female lense
By 2030, 2.5 billion women will live and work in cities. And in cities, which in the vast majority of cases were planned and built by men. This raises the question, to what extent will the city of the future be tailored to the needs of all of us? And what role do women architects, urban planners and urban designers play in this?
“The female perspective in urban planning can no longer be ignored; it is an essential contribution to diversity,” says urban scientist Katja Schechtner from Vienna.
On February 14, Katja Schechtner will come to Munich Urban Colab and look at the city from a different – gender-just – perspective, giving examples from around the world.
Afterwards we will discuss with
Prof. Dr. (Univ. Florence) Elisabeth Merk, City Planning Councillor of the City of Munich
and
Ulrike Fukas, architect, steidle architekten
We are looking forward to meeting you!
