FSA ACADEMY – Workshops for Female Founders

A workshop is a workshop is a workshop? Not with us! As part of the Female Entrepreneurship Week, the Hamburg Investors Network (HIN) continues its successful Female StartAperitivo (FSA) ACADEMY with workshops for Female Founders.

Peer to peer, in a small group, a protected space: the FSA ACADEMY sessions take place in a special atmosphere. The speakers are absolute experts in their field and provide you with important start-up knowledge with a guaranteed lasting effect. Due to the interactive character, you always have the possibility to help shape the content. This creates an exchange at eye level that will really help you move forward.

All FSA ACADEMY workshops are designed for female founders of all stages. However, it is less about your start-up phase and more about content expertise and exchange on certain topics that sooner or later affect every female founder. All levels are welcome.

During a break there will be time to get together in a relaxed atmosphere with delicious drinks and snacks. The FSA ACADEMY offers are free of charge for all participants thanks to special funding from the Ministry of Economics and Innovation (BWI) and the Hamburg Investment and Development Bank (IFB).

Workshop #1 – Sustainable Foundations

Social, ecological and economic sustainability are the catapult for long-term effective ideas. In the workshop you will learn why it is not only important for society and the planet to think about sustainability from the very beginning, but also for your entrepreneurial success. Marit Filger is co-founder of Re.Frame Studio. As a value-driven brand strategist, communicator and creative, Marit has worked in startups as well as with global market leaders* around the world.

Workshop #2 – Strategic Networking & Values-Driven Connections

Access to funding sources and relevant contacts is fundamental to your success as a female founder. It is crucial to find network partners who share similar values and goals. After all, shared values are the basis for trusting and meaningful cooperation. The good news: Targeted and value-based networking and sustainable contact management can be learned. In her workshop, Dr. Kirsten Mikkelsen from WEstartupSH and the Jackstädt Center at the European University of Flensburg shows how you can learn to invest your energy wisely in value-based networking and presents proven networking strategies in the process.

Workshop #3 – The Power of Love Brands

How do you manage to become and remain attractive to customers as a brand? In this workshop, we will show the principles of Emotional Branding for magnetic customer acquisition and how any startup can use this to their advantage, regardless of their budget, to become a strong Love Brand. Katharina Tiedemann is managing director of IDEENBUDE and supports companies in taking the next step in (emotional) branding.

The reBOOTCAMP – creativity meets mindfulness for female founders

Need a #reboot? Our FSA ACEDEMY program is rounded off by a creativity-meets-mindfulness retreat. Malte Krohn from mindfulstartup.schooland Lilya Tafat from Hamburg Investors Network offer a #reBOOTCAMP with inspiring workshops and valuable networking for female founders from November 16-19, 2023. You can expect yoga and mindfulness exercises, free space to work on your individual challenges as a founder and inspiring exchange with others. The own cost contribution amounts to 200 euros. Why all this?

There is still a lot to do: Only 20 percent of founders in Germany are women (Female Founders Monitor, 2022) – and of the venture capital awarded worldwide, all-female teams receive just around 2 percent, while mixed teams receive around 7 percent (BCG, 2023). This is despite the fact that teams with at least one woman at the top have been shown to perform better – in return on investment, jobs created, and technology (BCG, 2018).

In order to improve this situation, the well-known nationwide pitch contest Female StartAperitivo is held annually, which was created by the Hamburg Investors Network and WEstartupSH and has been continuously expanded in recent years. In 2022, the City of Hamburg went a step further, the HIN offered flanking workshops and masterclasses through the FSA ACADEMY. With the support of the Ministry of Economics and Innovation (BWI) and the Hamburgische Investitions- und Förderbank (IFB), the offers for Female Founders will now be continued and expanded in 2023.
