Visibility as a coach – why it is indispensable

Many coaches wonder whether it is really necessary to be visible on social media – especially if they are introverted. Is it really necessary to constantly show yourself and produce content? The short answer: visibility is a key success factor for your coaching business.

The fear of visibility

For many coaches, the thought of visibility is unpleasant. But why is that? These are the answers I have found within myself and from clients.

  • Fear of criticism: What will others say? This uncertainty can have a paralyzing effect.
  • Doubts about your own expertise: Am I really good enough? Do I have something valuable to say?
  • Unclear positioning: What do I actually stand for? Without clarity, it is difficult to be authentic.
  • A challenge for introverts: For reserved personalities, stepping out in public is often a challenge.

Visibility and its unbeatable advantages

However, visibility on social media brings decisive advantages. Advantages that particularly convince introverted self-employed people who prefer to be found by the right people, right?

  1. People buy from people – Especially in times of digitalization, people long for real connections. When you show yourself, potential customers can build a personal relationship with you.
  2. Authenticity creates identification – Through your visibility you show your values and convictions, which attracts the right people.
  3. Build trust – Your target group gains trust in you and your expertise through regular content.
  4. Community building – Social media allows you to engage directly with your target group and create an engaged community.
  5. Attract the right customers – If you are visible, you attract people who really suit you – this saves time and nerves.
  6. Less sales pressure – People who already know and appreciate you need less persuasion to accept your offer.
  7. No more price negotiations – visibility shows your value. Your customers know what you can do and are willing to pay your price.
  8. Increased referrals – If you are present, it is easier for others to recommend you.

Visibility is a process that takes time

Visibility doesn’t happen overnight. It’s a continuous process where you get to find out which form of presence works best for you. Whether in the form of posts, videos or stories – test different formats to discover your natural way of being visible.

For me, the big advantage of social media is that we don’t have to constantly hold our face up to the camera, but can remain visible with our offer when we’re not in the mood for videos & co.

It allows us to be visible and protect our energy at the same time.
