FUTURE NOW FESTIVAL 2nd edition

FUTURE NOW is back.

After the almost miraculous and celebrated first festival edition in 2020, the feminist event will take place again this summer in Wuppertal. In the second edition, music and performance take center stage and once again the FUTURE NOW team makes it clear where the journey is headed – on and behind the stage and in the technology exclusively women/FLINTA*.

Regional, German and international musicians and performers are invited with their programs, at the same time the festival also brings forth new formations. Five drummers from four continents will kick off the show in spectacular fashion. This year’s festival location is the circus tent at Utopiastadt on Nordbahntrasse.

In the run-up to the festival, the internationally renowned Stuttgart-based puppeteer, stage designer and director Stefanie Oberhoff and the Cameroonian musicians and performance artists Becky Beh and Mahoussi will be visiting the festival as resident artists and will prepare works for the festival in collaboration with the location.
