Why the Tech Industry Needs Artists, Germanists and Teachers – Career Changers Report

German studies, teaching, parental leave: career changers present their path into the tech industry and report on their experiences. Sign up and get support from the career changer community!

Moderation: Julia Büchting
Julia has a degree in art and now works as a data artist at an IT consultancy. The lateral entry was preceded by a long search for the perfect job – from no experience and IT knowledge to senior consultant in two years: Julia has benefited a lot from support herself and would like to support other career changers to successfully make the leap into IT.

Speakers:

Patricia Bobe – Gipfelstürmer (Woodmark Consulting AG)
Patricia has been with Woodmark Consulting for over 5 years, now in the role of Solution Expert. But actually it comes from the humanities. Afterwards she specialized in Tableau and Data Analytics and is now mainly active as a project manager, Scrum Master and also mentor.

Oksana Kirschbaum – Data School (The Information Lab Germany)
Oksana is a Junior Data Analyst at The Information Lab, a trained social economist and a mother of 2 children. She completely revamped her  career after 7 years of parental leave.
